Janet de Witt Location: Email: Torbay, Auckland janet.dw066@gmail.com Mobile: Phone: Website: 027 669 0783 +64 (09) 473 8660 http://www.brainbodyinsynch.com < Return BACKGROUND I have been a registered Educational Kinesiologist / Brain Gym Instructor for the past 27 years and specialise in supporting children and teenagers with challenges such as; learning, sensory integration, coordination, self-regulation and anxiety. When working with children, my work is informed by a career in special education. Recently, I have come to include working with retained reflexes such as Moro and ATNR into my practice. When working with adults, I generally focus on areas such sabotage clearing, emotional balancing and strategies for improvements from stroke or brain injury. Every step is about facilitating self-empowerment. Educational Kinesiology is a wonderful tool for supporting both children and adults to deal with their challenges. MY SPECIALTY My specialty is working with quirky kids. When working with them I weave in my special education knowledge and mix it with my kinesiology practice. I have added protocols to promote the integration of retained primitive reflexes such as the moro, fear paralysis and spinal galant, as these can impact learning, behavior, self-regulation, coordination, emotional health, and wellbeing in children and adults. I encourage parents to develop positive ways of interacting with their children while supporting their understandings of the child’s stresses, physiological challenges, and processing styles. Positive changes are enhanced through a movement based programme practiced regularly at home. At times, I will also work with other practitioners such as counsellors, osteopaths, psychologists, doctors or class teachers to seek the best outcome for a client. CLINICAL SESSIONS I work both in clinic and online. Consultations are best in a one to one setting, but can be offered online for those who aren't located in Auckland. I offer a two session special for mothers who have experienced birth trauma and I find these often have a positive effect that flows onto the mother/child relationship. COURSES I TEACH I provide core training courses via in-person or online, including: Intro to Brain Gym BG101 - Brain Gym 101 BG104 - Brain Gym 104 DD105 - Double Doodle Play Brain Dominance Profiles QUALIFICATIONS Educational Kinesiologist / Brain Gym Instructor Touch for Health Kinesiology Rhythmic Movement Training International BACKGROUND I have been a registered Educational Kinesiologist / Brain Gym Instructor for the past 27 years and specialise in supporting children and teenagers with challenges such as; learning, sensory integration, coordination, self-regulation and anxiety. • Jean Jordan | Brain Gym NZ

Jean Jordan Location: Email: Christchurch jeanjordan@naturalpainsolutions.nz Mobile: Phone: Website: 021 083 53306 http://www.naturalpainsolutions.nz < Return BACKGROUND I'm a natural pain therapist who loves to find solutions for your pain, be it constant or intermittent, over months or even years. Originally trained as a Kinesiologist, Naturopath and Yoga Teacher in Perth, Australia, my husband and I decided to settle in beautiful Christchurch. In Perth, I had a pain clinic for over 18 years, however since moving to Christchurch I have developed an online business ' Natural Pain Solutions ' where I am expanding my one-on-one therapy to educate pain sufferers globally. There are two important elements to my therapy. Firstly, the ability for clients to learn and use self-help techniques. Secondly, to understand neuroplasticity, or how your brain can change. This means gaining knowledge about the impact of brain integration and the nervous system in the treatment of pain. Because of the brain integration this method has high success rates. Educational Kinesiology is about improving brain integration through the use of intentional movements, learning to self-reflect and become more ‘body aware’. Educational Kinesiology is a powerful therapy for self-development and growth, no matter what age you are, or what you do for work. MY SPECIALTY I focus on pain therapy and management, by creating a bridge between natural and medical medicine. My unique treatment variety stems from combining my years of experience as an Educational Kinesiologist, Naturopath, Yoga Teacher and Mindfulness trainer. • Brain Gym NZ

Brain Gym NZ Our specialty lies in the understanding of natural movement patterns and how they relate to learning and performing. We believe that addressing the whole body, what we call the “physical skills of learning and performing,” is critical to optimal living and learning. We can “learn how to learn” by stabilising our vestibular balance, grounding our physical structures and mastering self-calming. Doing so prepares us to master the physical skills required for the mental, cognitive, and language skills necessary for higher thinking. When the structural and physical foundations are in place, we experience less tension and stress, enhancing the flow of learning, performing, and communication. Reclaim the joy of living with the Brain Gym programme. We trust in the innate intelligence of every individual. Each of us is unique, and the solution for one may not be the solution for another. Therefore, our goal is to allow the client or student to lead—developing self-trust and personal empowerment along the way. For example, a parent may want their child to improve in reading, whereas the child may want to increase playground or social skills. The child’s subsequent success on the playground has a positive impact on her confidence. This opens her up to now focus on reading, as relieving stress in one area allows focus in another. • Helene Young | Brain Gym NZ

Helene Young Location: Email: Merrilands, New Plymouth dryhappyhel@icloud.com Mobile: Phone: Website: 027 539 7359 < Return BACKGROUND I first started on my Educational Kinesiology journey in 1980, with two left feet, high anxiety and in retrospect some tendencies of hyperactivity! In 1991 while working with the young and unemployed I was sent to my first Brain Gym training, I found it revolutionary! Focusing on implementing this new skill set in my own life, I set a goal to improve my ability to swim without stopping to catch my breath, which I couldn't do at the time. I could instantly feel a difference in my abilities after doing the Brain Gym movements vs what it was like previously. Initially, it was hard to believe that simple exercise could make such a massive difference! I no longer have two left feet and I'm a lot less hyperactive. Since then, I have travelled to courses and conventions in Australia, Switzerland, France and Canada. All have been huge life and career enhancing experiences! I believe it is, as they say - 'the best thing since sliced bread.' It delivers far more than one could ever expect before trying it out for themselves. Educational Kinesiology and the Brain Gym movements create balance and harmony whilst teaching incredible tools for personal change, resilience and life balance. I have worked with a range of different people from different backgrounds; including children, adults, teenagers, colleagues and as mentioned, myself. I've used the Educational Kinesiology framework to help people in the workplace, in homes, at schools, even in car parks or in critical incidents/callouts. As a Priest at 74 years of age, I call myself a provocateur/space changer. I feel very lucky to be able to share this with those around me via my work and personal life. I love seeing how Educational Kinesiology positively changes people's lives and the ongoing empowerment and benefits one experiences. It has taught me that miracles happen every day. By setting clear boundaries, we can empower all to set and achieve their goals enabling us to be true to ourselves whilst being open and loving unconditionally. SPECIALTY I work with CYF children who have learning or behavioural difficulties, ages: 6 months - 15 years old. Young people who are at the stage of making big life choices. They could be feeling depressed or out of sorts and looking to work towards particular goals, ages: 15 - 30 years old. Adults dealing with transitional changes such as divorce, death, work and health issues. Anything that is causing them stress or anxiety, where they've noticed something needs to shift! CLINICAL SESSIONS One on one sessions, phone conversations or via zoom. I see parents & children, couples, anyone really - including surrogate balances. • About | Brain Gym NZ

What is Educational Kinesiology? A comprehensive mind/body integration programme for all ages. It incorporates movement to enhance our abilities and confidence—in learning, sport, performing arts, communication, or wherever our challenges may lie. Founded in 1987 by specialist educator Paul Dennison, PhD, and his wife/colleague Gail E. Dennison at his remedial learning centre in California. Educational Kinesiology is the 20 year outcome of conducting experiential and experimental research, after noticing a correlation between learning challenges and postural, physical or perceptual stresses. Kinesiologists use the tool of muscle checking to work with clients one on one. Educational Kinesiologists have completed the core training and are required to be registered with Educational Kinesiology (Brain Gym) NZ inc. What is Brain Gym? Brain Gym is the fundamental programme of Educational Kinesiology movements and balances. An internationally recognised programme used to coordinate the whole brain, senses and body for improved learning and self-development. The Brain Gym programme is a holistic system based on the principles of kinesiology and learning theory. A combination of 26 designed movement activities (or exercises) that benefit everyday life. Supporting individuals to perform daily tasks with more ease, experience improved movement, posture, sensory processing and lowered stress levels. Developed by learning specialist Paul E. Dennison, PhD, and his wife and partner Gail E. Dennison in the 1980s. After experiencing the benefits personally, many people have gone on to become Educational Kinesiology Consultants or Brain Gym Instructors.
